1. How long does it take to recover from eyelid surgery?

While it may take up to three months for all swelling to subside following blepharoplasty, patients typically return to work and most normal daily activities about five to seven days following surgery. Dr. Philpott and his team will provide you with detailed post-operative care instructions following your blepharoplasty to help you minimize your recovery period.

2. Are you put to sleep for eyelid surgery?

No, most of our patients are not put to sleep during their eyelid surgery. Instead, Dr. Philpott and his team use local anesthetics and sedatives to ensure patients remain comfortable but conscious throughout their blepharoplasty procedure.

3. Is eyelid surgery painful?

Following your blepharoplasty, you will experience swelling, bruising, and tenderness around your eyes. These side effects are normal and typically resolve on their own within a week or two of treatment. Dr. Philpott and his team will provide you with detailed post-operative care instructions to help you manage your discomfort throughout your recovery.

4. Can I drive home after eyelid surgery?

No, you will not be able to drive yourself home following your eyelid surgery. We recommend you bring a close friend or family member to your blepharoplasty appointment and have them stay with you following surgery to ensure you are healthy and comfortable.er third of the face

5. How long does an eyelid lift last?
