Mid-Face Lift (Melopexy)

The endoscopic mid-face lift, or melopexy, procedure minimizes the surgical field by making use of tiny cameras that are guided into the surgical area so the doctor can observe the operation on a monitor. The procedure is commonly suited for patients who are noticing some droopiness in their cheek pads and/or jowls as well as for those noticing a significant creasing in the nasal-labial folds around the mouth. The end result is a decrease in the aged appearance of the mid-face and elimination of the perpetual tired look with an overall opening or brightening of the face. Additionally, this procedure eliminates the need for cheek implants.

The result is a quicker facial procedure with smaller incisions and decreased down time for the patient.

Since this is a surgical facial procedure requiring the sutures to set in place, the recovery time is up to 15 days. However, most swelling will reduce in a matter of about one week.
