Phoenix Fraxel Laser Treatments
Today, most lasers treat the skin with high power levels and macroscopic spot sizes. What this means is that many times healthy tissue gets damaged along with the tissue requiring treatment.
A new approach is based upon the evolving science of Fractional Photothermolysis and is utilized in the Fraxel laser by Reliant.
Treating the skin fractionally using the Fraxel Laser results in a unique wound healing process. Each area the laser affects is surrounded by healthy tissue as depicted in the illustration on the right. By reducing the amount of treated tissue, the body is able to regenerate healthy tissue to the treated areas faster. Each Phoenix Fraxel treatment effects only 20% of the skin. After five treatments, spaced two to four weeks apart, the entire surface will have been treated.
